A RESOLUTION TO GRANT A PERMANENT EASEMENT TO THE NESTLÉ PREPARED FOODS COMPANY FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING ACCESS TO GREAT DANE DRIVE

WHEREAS, the Nestlé Prepared Foods Company is currently undergoing an expansion of facilities in the Jonesboro Industrial Park; and

WHEREAS, the Nestlé Prepared Foods Company is seeking to divert heavy truck traffic to Great Dane Drive and away from Highway 18; and

WHEREAS, The Nestlé Prepared Foods Company is seeking a permanent easement from the City of Jonesboro to construct a roadway to provide this access;

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:

Section 1:  The City of Jonesboro shall grant a permanent easement to the Nestlé Prepared Foods Company.

Section 2:  The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to effectuate this agreement.
