RESOLUTION TO SET A PUBLIC HEARING TO ABANDON MACHINE ROAD AS REQUESTED BY EDGAR SIMMONS, WOODROW LAVON & NORMA JEAN CRAWFORD

WHEREAS, Petitioners, Edgar E. Simmons, Woodrow Lavon Crawford and Norma Jean Crawford, his wife, have filed a Petition with the City Clerk of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas requesting that Machine Road be vacated and abandoned; and

WHEREAS, the Petition has been presented to the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas; and

WHEREAS, A.C.A. §14-301-302 requires two (2) weeks public notice before the above street can be vacated and abandoned.

NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that the City Clerk is directed to publish a notice once a week for two consecutive weeks advising the public that Edgar E. Simmons, Woodrow Lavon Crawford, his wife, desire that the City of Jonesboro vacate and abandon Machine Road which is located in Shelby Acres, Jonesboro, Craighead County, Arkansas, and that this matter will be heard before the City Council on July 10, 1989, at 7:15 p.m. at City Hall, Jonesboro, Arkansas.

PASSED and ADOPTED this 19^th day of June, 1989.
