RESOLUTION DATED 04/19/76 APPROVING THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE MISSOURI PACIFIC RAILROAD COMPANY AND THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS.

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas desires to execute an agreement between the Missouri Pacific Railroad Company and the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas to establish, reconstruct and maintain a pedestrian crossing at Race Street Extended under the Community Development Block Grant Program, Jonesboro, Arkansas.

 

BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City Of Jonesboro, Arkansas that Neil J. Stallings said City’s mayor be and he is hereby duly authorized and fully empowered to enter into and execute for and in the name of the City one certain written agreement dated April 19, 1976, between said City and Missouri Pacific Railroad Company, respecting the grant by said Railroad and acceptance by the City of permission to establish, reconstruct  and maintain a public pedestrian crossing over certain lands of Railroad’s Chaining Station 2115+82, in the City of Jonesboro, Craighead County, Arkansas, on said Railroad’s premises in said City, true copy of said agreement being attached hereto as part hereof.

 

BE IT FUTHER RESOLVED that funds have been appropriated and are available for the payment of all costs agreed to be paid by the City under the terms of said agreement.
