RESOLUTION ACKNOWLEDGING THE FORUM COMMISSION'S AGREEMENT WITH THE FOUNDATION OF ARTS FOR NORTHEAST ARKANSAS, INC. WHEREBY THE FOUNDATION OF ARTS FOR NORTHEAST ARKANSAS, INC. SHALL ASSIST IN THE OPERATION AND MANAGEMENT OF THE FORUM.

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, hereinafter referred to as City, is the owner of Municipal Auditorium, more particularly referred to as the Forum, and
WHEREAS, this Council has created and authorized the Forum Commission to manage, operate, and keep in good state of repair the Forum pursuant to Jonesboro Ordinance 1639, and
WHEREAS, the Forum Commission has the authority to encourage, organize, schedule, sponsor, and promote cultural and performing arts events and activities at the Forum, and
WHEREAS, the Forum Commission wishes to take advantage of the qualified personnel employed by the Foundation of Arts for Northeast Arkansas, Inc. and the advice and assistance of said Foundation in the identification, scheduling, and offering of programs, performances and other events and activities at the Forum, and
WHEREAS an agreement between the Forum Commission and the Foundation of Arts for Northeast Arkansas, Inc. will help to avoid duplication of expenditures of funds and efforts in the furtherance of the operation and the utilization of the Forum;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
SECTION ONE: This Council approves the Forum Commission's entering into an agreement with the Foundation of Arts for Northeast Arkansas, Inc. Whereby said Foundation may, among other things, assist and manage in the maintenance, operation, utilization, and upkeep of this Forum.
