AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND TITLE 14 KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CHANGE IN ZONING BOUNDARIES

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
SECTION 1: That Title 14 known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Jonesboro be amended by the change in zoning district boundaries as follows:
From Agriculture (AG-1) to Residential (RS-6 L.U.O.) Single-Family Medium Density Limited Use Overlay, being developed as approved in the final subdivision of Prairie Meadows, with the property being described as follows: A part of the East ½ of the Northwest Quarter and a part of the West ½ of the Northeast Quarter, all in Section 4, Township 13 North, Range 3 East, Craighead County, Arkansas, more particularly described as follows: From the West quarter corner of said Section 4, thence N 88º30’06” E 1304.00 feet; thence 01º37’33” W 46.90 feet to the point of beginning; thence continue N 01º37’33” W 793.10 feet; thence N 88º30’47” East 177.50; thence S 01º37’33” East 789.76 feet; thence S 87º26’03” W 177.50 feet to the point of beginning, containing 3.22 acres, more or less.
SECTION 2: It is found and declared by the City Council that proper use of the tract of land in this Ordinance is being delayed because of improper zoning and that, therefore, an emergency exists and this Ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, it shall take effect from and after its passage and approval.
