AN ORDINANCE TO VACATE AND ABANDON AN UNIMPROVED EAST END OF TUMBLEWEED STREET

BE IT ORDAINED by the city council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that:
SECTION 1: The City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, hereby releases, vacates and abandons all of its rights, together with the rights of the public generally, in and to the streets designated as follows with the exceptions listed in Section 2:
The unimproved east end of Tumbleweed Street more particularly described as: Begin at the northwest corner of lot 14 of Upper Duckswater Addition, first revision to the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas; thence south 34°31'34" west along the east line of said lot 14, 303.84 feet to the existing right-of-way line of Tumbleweed Street, the point of beginning proper; thence along the right-of-way line, aforesaid, along a 159°11'157" curve to the right with a radius of 60.00 feet, a distance of 166.73 feet; thence north 13°43'31" east 10.18 feet; thence along a 108°50'10" curve to the left with a radius of 50.00 feet, a distance of 9498 feet; thence north 34°31'34" east 27.20 feet to the point of beginning proper, containing 0.0808 acres.
SECTION 2: A copy of the ordinance certified by the City Clerk shall be filed in the office of the Recorder of Craighead County, Arkansas, and shall be filed in the Deed Records of such office
SECTION 3: The City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, finds and declares that the above street and portions of streets are not necessary for the general benefit and welfare of the public; that the owners of all the property abutting the above street are in favor of the closure and vacation of the above street and that therefore an emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
