AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF $2500.00 FOR THE OPERATION OF THE WORK RELEASE PROGRAM AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:

Section 1: Whereas, the Work Release Program operated by the City of Jonesboro and administered by the Municipal Court and Police Department requires the appropriation of certain funds for effective continued operation, the sum of $2500.00 is hereby appropriated from the general fund for use in defraying expenses of operation of the Work Release Program.

Section 2: It is found and declared by the City Council that this ordinance is necessary for the preservation of the public health and safety. Therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage and approval.
