AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 957 THE SAME BEING AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE LICENSING OF ELECTRICIANS, CONTRACTORS, ETC. UNDER THE ELECTRICAL CODE FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS

BE IT ORDAINED AND ENACTED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:

Section 1: Section 18 of Ordinance No. 957 is amended as follows: Licenses and Permits-nontransferable. No electrical contractor shall allow anyone except his employees to use his licenses and permits.

Section 2: All ordinances and/or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.

Section 3: It is found and declared by the city council being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage and approval.
