A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A LEASE AGREEMENT FOR PROEPRTY LOCATED AT 107 FLINT STREET (NOTE: THE LEASE WAS EXTENDED WITH RES-06:275 ON JULY 18, 2006; RES-06:139 ON DECEMBER 5, 2006)

WHEREAS, the City Council on July 8, 2005 authorized the Mayor to find and lease an existing facility to move the Street and Sanitation Departments from the City's Landfill, AND

WHEREAS, the Mayor has found facilities located at 107 Flint Street that are available for immediate occupancy and has negotiated a lease with Best Manufacturing in the amount of $5,000 monthly.  The initial lease is for a period of one year with up to two, six (6) month renewals at the same monthly price.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas that:

      1. The City of Jonesboro agrees to the terms and conditions of the lease agreement attached as exhibit "A".

      2. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute such documents as are necessary to effectuate this agreement.
