RESOLUTION TO PROCEED WITH CONDEMNATION ACTION ON PROPERTY LOCATED AT 403 WEST FORREST STREET

WHEREAS, the City Inspector and Fire Chief of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, have made a full inspection of the property known as 403 West Forrest Street, Jonesboro, Arkansas, which apparently is owned by Mrs. Frank Haggard,
WHEREAS, said officials have found and reported that a structure located on said property is in a deplorable and dilapidated condition, being readily subject to collapse, and further constituting a fire hazard and a health hazard to the surrounding neighborhood and have recommended that such structure be condemned and demolished;
NOW, THEREOFRE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that the structure located on the property described above be and it is hereby found and determined to be dilapidated, unsightly, unsafe, and a hazard to the public safety and welfare; and that pursuant to City Ordinance and State Law, the owner of the property shall be given by the City Attorney -90- days notice to remove or tear down such building; and upon owner’s failure so to do that the said Inspector enter upon said property and premises and remove or tear down such building so that the same is not dilapidated, unsightly, unsafe, or hazardous.
