A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING THE WILLINGNESS OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO TO MATCH STATE AID CITY STREET FUNDS FOR THE ACHM SURFACE COURSE (TYPE III) OVERLAY OF SELECTED STREET SECTIONS

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro understands State Air City Street funds are available for improvements to the city streets; and
WHEREAS, the City has determined that the top priority project is Asphaltic Cement Hot Mix Overlay of Selected Street Sections (see list in City Clerk’s Office), and
WHERAS, the City understands their matching portion of this project will be 30% of the total cost; and that 5% of the estimated total project cost is submitted so preliminary engineering can begin;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the (Board of Directors/City Council) of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas THAT:
SECTION 1: The City of Jonesboro will participate in accordance with its designated responsibility in this project.
SECTION II: the City of Jonesboro pledges its full support and hereby authorizes and requests the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department to initiate action to construct this project.
SECTION III: The Mayor (Mayor/City Manager) is hereby authorized and directed to execute all appropriate agreements and contracts necessary to expedite the construction of the improvements on city streets. (Continued) this completes all that is in resolution file.
