AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO.954 KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CHANGE IN ZONING BOUNDARIES

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
SECTION 1: That Ordinance N0.954 known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Jonesboro is amended as recommended by the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission by the change in zoning district boundaries as follows: (U-Haul Co. of Arkansas and David Emerson, East of Stadium and South of Kingsbury R-2 to C-3, Skip Mooney)
From Residential (R-2) to Commercial (C-3) of property described as follows: Emerson’s Re-plat of the East 180 feet of Lot 1, Block B and all of Lots 2 and 3, Block B of Gwyndale Subdivision as recorded in Book 123, page 19, Craighead County, Jonesboro, Arkansas.
SECTION 2: It is found and declared by the City Council that proper use of the tract of land described in this Ordinance is being delayed because of improper zoning and that, therefore, an emergency exists and this Ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, it shall take effect from and after its passage and approval.
