RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS GRANTS AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE FOR FY22 BODY-WORN CAMERA POLICY AND IMPLEMENTATION (BWC PIP) GRANT

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas was awarded the FY22 Body-Worm Camera Policy and Implementation Grant from the Department of Justice in the amount of $7,548.00; and
Whereas, the City of Jonesboro will provide a 50% local match of $7,548.00 for the total project cost of $15,168.00; and
Whereas, the FY22 Body-Worn Camera Policy and Implementation Grant will be used for the purchase of body-worn cameras.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:
SECTION 1: The City of Jonesboro, Arkansas will enter into agreement with the Department of Justice to accept the FY22 Body-Worn Camera Policy and Implementation grant for body-worn cameras.
SECTION 2: The Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas to execute all documents necessary to effectuate this application.
