AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 10-11 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS INCREASING THE MONTHLY TRASH COLLECTION FEE FOR RESIDENTIAL UNITS BY $.50 PER MONTH AND FOR COMMERCIAL UNITS BY 20% PER MONTH AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS
Section 1: That, the Code of Ordinances of the City of Jonesboro, Section 10-11 is hereby amended by increasing the now existing monthly rate to be paid for garbage collection by $.50 per month for all residential units and by 20% per month for all commercial units.
Section 2: The City Collector shall add $.50 per month to each residential unit as classified by Section 10-11 of the Code of Ordinances and shall add 20% to each commercial unit as classified by Section 10-11 of the Code of Ordinances.
Section 3: This ordinance is effective beginning April 1, 1975.
Section 4: It is found and declared by the City Council that the City of Jonesboro is in need of additional revenues and an increase in the rate is necessary, an emergency is declared to exist, and it shall take effect from and after its passage and approval.
