A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND THE CITY ATTORNEY OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO TO ACCEPT A GRANT, IF OFFERED, FROM THE FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION FOR THE PURPOSE OF REHABILITATION OF RUNWAY 5-23 (OVERLAY) AT THE JONESBORO MUNICIPAL AIRPORT

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas has applied for a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) grant for the rehabilitation of Runway 5-23 (Overlay) at the Jonesboro Municipal Airport; and
WHEREAS, in the event that the FAA grant is awarded to the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, the FAA requires the city to provide matching funds equaling less than 10% of the total grant, not to exceed $75,000.00.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, CRAIGHEAD COUNTY, ARKANSAS, THAT:
The Mayor and City Attorney of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas are authorized to apply for and accept said FAA grant, if offered.
