A RESOLUTION TO ENTER INTO AN ADDENDUM TO CONTRACT FOR CONSULTANT SERVICES BETWEEN THE CITY OF JONESBORO AND PETERS & ASSOCIATES ENGINEERS, INC. FOR ROADWAY DESIGN AND TRAFFIC SIGNAL DESIGN AT THE INTERSECTION OF FAIR PARK STREET AND RACE STREET

Body

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro has received an Addendum to Contract for Consultant Services from Peters & Associates Engineers, Inc., which is attached hereto in its entirety; and

WHEREAS, this Addendum is for the purposes of preparing the Roadway Design and Traffic Signal Design construction plans at the intersection of  Fair Park Street and Race Street as previously approved through RES-05:438; and

WHEREAS, said Addendum is for a lump sum compensation of $2,500.00, which is currently available in the 2007 budget for the City of Jonesboro, line item No. 02-100-0217; and

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro believes said Addendum is for the use and benefit of the City of Jonesboro and all its residents; and

WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of Jonesboro that the City Council authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to execute this Addendum.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:

Section 1:                     The City Council shall authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to execute an Addendum to Contract for Consultant Services with Peters & Associates Engineers, Inc. for Roadway Design and Traffic Signal Design at the intersection of Fair Park Street and Race Street.

Section 2:                     The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute such documents as are necessary to effectuate this Resolution.
