WHEREAS, The City of Jonesboro understands Federal-Aid Surface Transportation funds are available for certain City projects at the following Federal participating ratios:

 

Type Work:

 

Traffic Signals/Intersection Improvements:  All approaches on the State Highway System

 

Work Phases and associated cost share:

 

Construction and Engineering:

Federal Share:                     80%

State Share:                     20%

City Share:                     0%

 

Right -of-Way and Utilities

Federal Share:                     0%

State Share:                     0%

City Share                     100%

 

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCILOF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:

 

Section 1:  The City will participate in accordance with its designated responsibility in this project, which includes providing electrical services and maintenance of the traffic signal and associated control equipment.

 

Section 2:  The City is hereby authorized and directed to execute all appropriate agreements and contracts necessary to expedite the construction of this City project.

 

Section 3:  The City pledges full support and hereby authorizes the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department to initiate action to continue this City project.
