AN ORDINANCE DELETING THE POSITION OF DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT FROM THE CITY OF JONESBORO PAY PLAN

WHEREAS, the position of Director of Community and Economic Development, was created by Ordinance No. 3530, and
WHEREAS, the Grants Coordinator, Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) Coordinator, and the Transit Coordinator were reporting to the Director of Community and Economic Development;
THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED, by the City Council of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that
SECTION 1: The position of Director of Community and Economic Development is hereby eliminated from the City of Jonesboro Pay Plan.
SECTION 2: The positions of Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) Coordinator, Grants Coordinator, and Transit Coordinator shall report directly to the Mayor of the City of Jonesboro.
SECTION 3: For the financial and operational continuity of the City of Jonesboro it is hereby found and declared that an emergency exists and that this ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage and approval.
