A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE TO BE ENTITLED ORDINANCE NO. 1182; AN ORDINANCE DESIGNATING PARTS OF WARNER STREET AS ONE WAY STREET; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
SECTION 1: From and after passage and adoption of this Ordinance Warner Street from Union Street East to Main Street shall be designated as a one way street Eastbound from Union Street to Main Street.
SECTION 2: The Chief of Police of Jonesboro or some other person designated by him is hereby directed to place and locate upon the above described street at the proper place, an appropriate sign reading “One Way Street” and it shall be unlawful for any person, form or corporation to tear down, remove, or mutilate such signs.
SECTION 3: All Ordinances and parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4: It is found and declared by the City Council that due to congestion of traffic on the above named street, there is created and caused a traffic problem and hazard resulting in injuries to persons and property and this Ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency is hereby declared and this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage and approval. This Ordinance is passed as a part of the recommendation of the Arkansas State Highway Commission.
