RESOLUTION TO DEDICATE PROPERTY TO ARKANSAS STATE UNIVERSITY IN EXCHANGE FOR A RIGHT-OF-WAY ON MCCLELLAN LANE

WHEREAS, the Trustees of Arkansas State University, Jonesboro, Arkansas, has dedicated certain property to the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, for right-of-way purposes; and
WHEREAS, a portion of said property which has been dedicated to the City is not now needed for right-of-way purposes, and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that the following described property, to-wit:
A part of the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter, Section29, Township 14 North, Range 4 East, being more particularly described as follows: Begin at the Northwest corner of the Northwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 29; thence North 89° 02’ East 50.0 feet; thence South 0° 11 - ½’ West 45.0 feet; thence North 89° 02’ East 233.1 feet; thence North 89° 02’ East 80.0 feet; thence South 0° 11- ½’ West 2138.05 feet to the point of beginning proper; thence South 0° 11 - ½’ West 205.08 feet to the U.S. Highway #63 Bypass right-of-way line; thence South 89°08’ West along said right-of-way 212.2 feet; thence North 56° 33’ West along said right-of-way 91.5 feet; thence North 2° 53’ West along said right-of-way 67.2 feet; thence South 46° 36’ East 42.81 feet; thence North 88° 53’ East 181.35 feet; thence North 0° 11- ½’ East 117.82 feet; thence South 89° 48’ East 80.0 feet to the point of beginning proper, containing 0.77 acres,
Shall be conveyed to the Trustees of Arkansas State University as it is not now needed for right-of-way purposes in exchange for right-of-way on McClellan Lane. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute a Warranty Deed to the said Trustees of Arkansas State University, Jonesboro, Arkansas, conveying the property above described.
