Title

A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AN AGREEMENT OF UNDERSTANDING WITH THE AHTD SAFE ROUTES TO SCHOOL PROGRAM

 

Body

WHEREAS,  The City of Jonesboro has been awarded $250,000 by the Arkansas Safe Routes to School Program for the development of the Turtle Creek Greenway; and

 

WHEREAS; The project is 100% funded by the Safe Routes To School Program; and

 

WHEREAS, The City of Jonesboro needs to approve an agreement of understanding with the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department for this project; and

 

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:

 

SECTION 1.  The City of Jonesboro accepts the Contract Agreement for State Project Job No. 100666 with the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department for the construction of the Turtle Creek Greenway.

 

SECTION 2: The Mayor, Doug Formon and City Clerk, Donna Jackson are hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro to execute all documents necessary to effectuate this agreement.

 

PASSED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of November, 2007.
