BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas that the department payrolls and staff be set as follows for the year 1957:

POLICE

9 Patrolman                     220.00

FIRE

Starting salary in both departments $200.00

All City Sanitation, Street and Cemetery Department employees be raised $5.00 per month each, and the Street Foreman salary set at $315.00.
