AN ORDINANCE TO REZONE LOT 1 OF THE REPLAT OF SCHISLER’S SUBDIVISION FROM R-2 TO I-1 AS REQUESTED BY RAY NICKLE

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of Jonesboro, Arkansas that:

 

SECTION 1: The City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, hereby rezones Lot 1 of the Replat of Schisler’s Subdivision from R-2 to I-1, with restrictions, to wit: EXCLUSION OF LIGHT MANUFACTURING. The aforementioned property being more particularly described as follows: (Citizens Bank, N. of Belt St. formerly ARCO Insulation - Ray Nickle)

 

A part of the Southwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 8, Township 14 North, Range 4 East, Craighead County, Arkansas, more particularly described as follows: Commence at the Southwest corner of the Southwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 8, thence East 445.5 feet to the point of beginning proper: thence East 140 feet; thence North 481.14 feet; thence West 140 feet; thence South 481.14 feet to the point of beginning

 

SECTION 2:    A copy of the ordinance duly certified by the City Clerk shall be filed in the office of the Recorder of Craighead County, Arkansas, and shall be filed in the Deed Records of such office. 

 

SECTION 3:   The City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, finds and declares that the rezoning of the aforementioned real property is necessary to maximize the property’s best use and to conform it to the proper zoning regulations. 

 

SECTION 4:   The City Council further finds and declares that an emergency exists and this ordinance is necessary for the prevention of public peace, health and safety and shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.

 

PASSED AND ADOPTED this 19th day of June, 1989.
