AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 954 KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CHANGE IN ZONING BOUNDARIES.

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
SECTION 1: That Ordinance No. 954 known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Jonesboro be amended by the change in zoning district boundaries as follows:
From Residential (R-1) to Industrial (I-1-LU- Warehouse; Mini-storage; Research Services; College or University; Medical Services) of property described as follows: A part of the East Half of the Southwest Quarter of Section15, Township 14 North, Range 4 East, Craighead County, Arkansas, being more particularly described as follows: Commencing at the South Quarter of said Section 15; thence North 0°34'00" West 558.53 feet to the South right of way line of Cotton Belt Railroad, the point of beginning proper; thence South 61°39'10" West 1212.17 feet along said right of way; thence North 0°34'00" West 226.06 feet; thence North 61°39'10" East 1212.17 feet; thence South 0°34'00" East 226.06 feet to the point of beginning proper, containing 5.57 acres, more or less, and being subject to all public and private roads and easements.
SECTION 2: It is found and declared by the City Council that proper use of the tract of land described in this Ordinance is being delayed because of improper zoning and that, therefore, and emergency exists and this Ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, it shall take effect from and after its passage and approval.
