RESOLUTION TO SET A PUBLIC HEARING TO ABANDON A PORTION OF A RIGHT OF WAY ON MELROSE STREET AS REQUESTED BY ARCHON GROUP

WHEREAS, Archon Group has filed a petition with the City Clerk of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, requesting that the City abandon a portion of the Melrose Street right of way located adjacent to the Indian Pointe Apartments on the corner of Johnson Avenue and Melrose Street; and
WHEREAS, the petition has been presented to the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas; and
WHEREAS, Arkansas law requires notice of such public hearing.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that the City Clerk is directed to publish a notice advising the public of such request to vacate and abandon the above mentioned street right of way and that this matter will be heard before the City Council on May 1, 2000, at 6:15 o'clock p.m. at the Huntington Building, Jonesboro, Arkansas.
