RESOLUTION TO HOLD PUBLIC MEETING FOR ABANDONMENT OF UTILITY EASEMENT IN WOODSPRINGS ESTATES AS REQUESTED BY JAMES & SUZAN HOUSTON AND HUBBARD KING

WHEREAS, the property owners have filed a Petition with the City Clerk of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, requesting that the south one hundred seventy three feet (173') of a utility easement seven and one half feet (7.5') in width along the east line of Lot 8 in Block D in Woodsprings Estates, Phase IV, Jonesboro, Arkansas be vacated and abandoned; AND
WHEREAS, the petition has been presented to the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas; AND
WHEREAS, Arkansas Code Annotated 14-301-110 requires two week public notice before the above street can be vacated and abandoned;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that the City Clerk is directed to publish a notice once a week for two (2) consecutive weeks advising the public of the request by the property owners to vacate and abandon the south 173 feet of the utility easement seven and one half feet (7.5') in width along the east side of said Lot 8 and this matter will be heard before the City Council on Monday, May 5, 1997 at 6:15 o'clock P.M., Central Daylight Time at City Hall, 410 West Washington Avenue, Jonesboro, Arkansas.
