RESOLUTION TO SET A PUBLIC HEARING TO VACATE AND ABANDON AN UNDEDICATED RIGHT OF WAY IN MIDDLEFIELD MEDICAL PARK AS REQUESTED BY MABE SPURLOCK

WHEREAS, the property owners have filed a petition with the City Clerk of Jonesboro, Arkansas, requesting that an undedicated right-of-way, described as follows be abandoned:
The undedicated right-of-way of Spurlock Drive, as shown as a gravel road on the Record Plat of Middlefield Medical Park, located in the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas;
WHEREAS, the petition has been presented to the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas; AND
WHEREAS, Arkansas Statute Annotated 19-3814 requires a two week public notice before the above utility easement can be vacated and abandoned;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that the City Clerk is directed to publish a notice once a week for two consecutive weeks advising the public of the request by the property owners to vacate and abandon the undedicated right-of-way and this matter will be heard before the City Council on October 7, 2002 at 6:00 p.m. at City Council Chambers, 900 W. Monroe, Jonesboro, Arkansas.
