CITY COUNCIL AGENDA - May 3, 1999
 
1. Call to order by Mayor at 6:30 p.m.
 
2. Roll call by Clerk.
 
3. Approval of minutes from April 19, 1999, as delivered.
      
● Request for a building permit regarding 1210 S. Madison property.
 
● Public Hearing regarding adoption of the Sewer Use - Pretreatment Ordinance.
 
4. City Attorney:
 
(A) 3rd reading - Ordinance to rezone property from Residential (R-1) to Commercial (C-3), located on the south side of Johnson Avenue, west of 4511 E. Johnson Avenue. (Mr. James Bedwell).
 
(B) 2nd reading- Ordinance to rezone property from Residential (R-1) to Commercial (C-3), and from Residential (R-1) to Residential (R-3), located on the west side of Hwy. 63, south of Strawfloor Road and approximately ½ mile north of the Woodsprings Road interchange. (J. T. Barr)
 
(C) 3rd reading - Ordinance to rezone property from Residential (R-1) to Residential (R-2), located on the east side of Airport Road, north of the V F W Hall at 300 N. Airport Road. (Affhouse/C. M. Mooney, Sr.)
 
(D) 1st reading - Ordinance adopting by reference a certain technical code entitled Sewer Use-Pretreatment Ordinance.
 
5. Resolution setting a public hearing for the purpose of issuing Act 9 Industrial Revenue Bonds to Frito-Lay, Inc.  
 
6. Resolution expressing the willingness of the City of Jonesboro to enter in to a temporary traffic control device agreement.
 
7. Resolution requesting City Water & Light to provide free electrical service at the Intersection of Patrick Street and Johnson Avenue.  
 
8. Resolution authorizing a contract with Griffin Grant Writing & Consulting, Inc. (Resolution to be provided at the meeting by Jim McKinnon, Grant Coordinator)
 
9. New Business by the Mayor.
