AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 954, KNOW AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR CHANGES IN ZONING BOUNDARIES AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City Jonesboro, Arkansas:
SECTION 1: That Ordinance No. 954 known as a zoning ordinance for the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, be amended as recommended by the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission by the changes in zoning classifications as follows:
From Residential (R-1) to Residential (R-2) of the property described as follows:
Lots "B" and "C" according to the plat of Metzler Replat of Lots 1, 2, 3 and 4 of Block "A" of Metzler Addition to Jonesboro, Arkansas, as recorded in Plat Cabinet "A", at page 34, at Jonesboro, Craighead Coun-ty, Arkansas, containing in all 42.715 sq. ft. or 0.981 acres, more or less, and subject to easements, restric-tions, reserva-tions and rights-of-way of record
SECTION 2: It is found and declared by the City Council that proper use of the tract(s) of land described above in this ordinance is being delayed because of improper zoning, and that, therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this Ordinance, being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
