A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF NEW TORNADO WARNING SIRENS

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro desires to update and keep its tornado warning system current and in good functioning order; and
WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro accepts the low bid from SafetyCom, Inc from North Little Rock, Arkansas for $479,058.00 as detailed in COM-08:113; and
WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro has provided the above funding in account number 07-100-0332-00-New Tornado Sirens.
Now therefore, be it resolved, by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro that:
The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute and accept such documents as are necessary to effectuate this agreement.
