AN ORDINANCE TO VACATE AND ABANDON A PORTION OF WEST HIGHLAND DRIVE FROM PRESENT ENDING TO BROOKHAVEN ROAD. (NOTE: THIS ORDINANCE WAS AMENDED BY ORD-90:1118 ON OCTOBER 1, 1990)

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that:
SECTION 1: The City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, hereby releases, vacates, and abandons all of its rights, together with the rights of the public generally, in and to the street designed as follows: "West Highland Drive from present ending to Brookhaven Road." (E. J. Buhrmaster)
SECTION 2: A copy of the ordinance duly certified by the City Clerk shall be filed in the office of the Recorder of Craighead County, Arkansas and shall be filed in the Deed Records of such office.
SECTION 3: The City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas finds and declares that the above street and portion of street are not necessary for the general benefit and welfare of the public; that the owners of all the property abutting the above street are in favor of the closure and vacation of the above street and that therefore an emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after it's passage and approval.
