RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A LEASE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF JONESBORO AND CRAIGHEAD COUNTY FOR THE LEASING AND SHARED USE OF A FIRE TRAINING FACILITY

WHEREAS: Thorough training for firefighters is of critical importance to both the community and the safety of firefighters; and

WHEREAS: The City of Jonesboro has negotiated an agreeable arrangement that will allow continued use of the fire training academy campus located at 3105 Fire Academy Drive in Jonesboro; and

WHEREAS; The terms of the agreement include a $1.00 annual cost and responsibility by the City of Jonesboro for upkeep and utilities.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:

SECTION 1. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into a lease agreement for the fire training academy campus.
