AN ORDINANCE TO WAIVE COMPETITIVE BIDDING AND AUTHORIZED PURCHASE OF REPAIR PARTS AND LABOR FOR A NORTHWEST 50-D DRAGLINE.

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas that:
SECTION 1: That the Street Department of the City of Jonesboro needs to purchase repairs with parts for following: Northwest 50-D Dragline.
SECTION 2: That said repairs be purchased from Grisham Equipment Company Inc. of Southaven, MS for the sum of $7,892.16.
SECTION 3: That the City Council in accord with the terms of A.C.A. 14-58-302 hereby waives the requirement of competitive bidding and directs the Purchasing Agent to purchase the above described for the price set forth in Section 2 above.
SECTION 4: It is further found that due to the immediate need to acquire the equipment an emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, shall take effect from and after its passage and approval.
