August 27, 2003, 3:30 p.m. in the Mayor’s Conference Room
Members present: Jim Hargis, Tim McCall, Bill Roddy, Dave Young, and Cecil Province
Others present were: Mayor Brodell, Royce Leonard, Sanitation Director, Lester Gill, Sanitation Route Supervisor, Alderman Alec Farmer, Keith Inman Jonesboro Sun Reporter, and Donna Jackson, City Clerk.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Councilman Young moved, seconded by Councilman Roddy to approve the minutes of August 11, 2003 as provided. All voted aye.
MORITORIUM ON CURB-SIDE PLACEMENT OF “BULKY WASTE” AND “CONSTRUCTION WASTE”
Councilman Young moved, seconded by Councilman Roddy to accept the recommendation of the Sanitation Advisory Committee to place a resolution before the Jonesboro City Council establishing a moratorium on the placement and pick up of “Bulky Waste” and “Construction Waste”, subject to review by City Attorney, Phillip Crego. All voted aye.
ADJOURNMENT
With no further business, Councilman Hargis moved, seconded by Councilman Roddy to adjourn. All voted aye.
