AN ORDINANCE TO VACATE AND ABANDON A PORTION OF MCCLURE STREET BETWEEN JOHNSON AVENUE AND WORD STREET.

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that:    
 
SECTION 1: The City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, hereby releases, vacates and abandons all of its rights, together with the rights of the public generally, in and to the streets designated as follows:  Mcclure Street between Johnson Avenue and Word Street.
 
SECTION 2: A copy of the Ordinance certified by the City Clerk shall be filed in the office of the recorder of Craighead County, Arkansas and shall be filed in the deed records of such office.
 
SECTION 3: That all utility easements remain as currently existing on deed records
 
SECTION 4: The City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas finds and declares that the above streets and portions of streets are not necessary for the general benefit and welfare of the public; that the owners of all the property abutting the above streets are in favor of the closure and vacation of the above street and that therefore an emergency is declared to exist and this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
 
PASSED AND ADOPTED the 6th day of December, 1993.
