BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that:
 
SECTION 1: Ordinance No. 954 known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Be Amended as Recommended by the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission by the changes in zoning classifications as follows:
 
From Residential (R-1) to Industrial (I-1)   the following described property.
 
A Part of the South Half of the Southwest Quarter of Section 8, Township 14 North, Range 4 East, more particularly described as follows:  begin 891 feet East of the Southwest Corner of the South Half of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 8, where the Southeasterly Line of Greensboro Road intersects the South Line of said South Half of the Southwest Quarter; thence East 915.46 feet; thence North 11 Degrees 17 Minutes West 737.5 feet to the Southeasterly Line of Greensboro Road; thence South 73 Degrees 55 Minutes West along the Southeasterly Line of Greensboro Road 465 feet, more or less, to a point which is 1176.12 feet East of the West Line of said South Half of the Southwest Quarter; thence Southwesterly along the Southeasterly Line of Greensboro Road 700 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning
 
SECTION 2: It is found and declared by the City Council that the proper use of the tract (tracts) of land described above in this Ordinance is being delayed because of improper zoning, and that therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this Ordinance, being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
