RESOLUTION TO SET A PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING ADOPTION OF A SECOND AMENDMENT TO THE PROJECT PLAN FOR THE TURTLE CREEK REDEVELOPMENT DISTRICT

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas adopted Ordinance Number 3480 and 3501 on July 19, 2004, and December 20, 2004, respectively, which created the Turtle Creek Redevelopment District of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas #1 (“Turtle Creek District”) and approved and amended a Project Plan for the Turtle Creek District and authorized the issuance of Redevelopment Bonds for the benefit of Turtle Creek District; and,
WHEREAS, Turtle Creek Partners, LLC requested a public hearing regarding the adoption of a Second Amendment to the Project Plan for the Turtle Creek Redevelopment District of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas #1 and ratifying, confirming, and supplementing Ordinance Numbers 3480 and 3501adopted by the City of Jonesboro on July 19, 2004, and December 20, 2004, respectively; and,
WHEREAS, the public hearing is scheduled to occur at 5:30 p.m. on November 1, 2005, at the Huntington Building, 900 W. Monroe, Jonesboro, Arkansas, which is the usual meeting place of the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, for the purpose of hearing public comment for or against the adoption of the Second Amendment to Ordinance Numbers 3480 and 3501.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to give notice to all taxing entities of the public hearing scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on November 1, 2005, and to publish Notice of the public hearing in the Jonesboro Sun once a week for two (2) consecutive weeks.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, designate 5:30 p.m. on November 1, 2005 as the time and date for a public hearing on adopting a Second Amendment to the Project Plan for the Turtle Creek Redevelopment District of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas #1, to ratify, confirm, and supple...
