RESOLUTION TO SET A PUBLIC HEARING TO ABANDON RIGHTS OF WAY AS REQUESTED BY JERRY CRAFT

WHEREAS, the property owners have filed a Petition with the City Clerk of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas requesting that the following Rights of Way be vacated and abandoned as follows:
 
LEGAL DESCRIPTION:
 
·      All of Novak Street (marked on site as Garden Manor).
·      All of Miller Street.
·      A portion of Warren Street being all that Right-of-Way east of a line sixteen point four feet (16.4') east of the center-line of Warren Street.
·      The south fifteen feet (15') of Bridge Street.
·      All of the remainder of Bridge Street, less and except a strip of land thirty feet (32') in width, said strip being twelve point nine feet (12.9) to the west of the center-line of Bridge Street, and seventeen point one feet (17.1) east of the center-line of Bridge Street.
 
WHEREAS, the Petition has been presented to the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas; AND
 
WHEREAS, Arkansas Code Annotated 14-301-110 requires two weeks public notice before the above easements can be vacated and abandoned;
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas that the City Clerk is directed to publish a notice once a week for two consecutive weeks advising the public of the request by the property owner to vacate and abandon the unimproved portion of said street mentioned above and this matter will be heard before the City Council on   February 1, 1999 at 5:50  p.m. o'clock, in Municipal Court Chambers,  Jonesboro, Arkansas.
