RESOLUTION TO MOVE HOUSES

BE IT RESOLVED BY the City Council of the City of Jonesboro that the Mayor and the City Clerk be and they are hereby authorized and directed to see to the removal of the house located on the North half of Lot 2, Collins Addition, to a location on Matthews extended, to be used by the City of Jonesboro in connection with the City Maintenance.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the house located on the South half of Lot 2 be moved to tract of Lot 50, Cobb’s Survey, on the southwest corner of Cherry and Cobb Streets; and thereupon execute a lease to the Jonesboro Council of Garden Clubs for a period of 10 years with an option of renewal at a rental payable in advance for the entire term and option of an amount equal to the costs incurred by the City in the removal of and installing of the house on the said tract; and
The agreement of the Jonesboro Council of Garden Clubs be that they will maintain the premises and improvements in a good state of appearance and use same for the purposes as set out in the rules of the organization, and if the property is not used for these purposes for a period of 1 year, the lease is to be canceled at the option of the City.
