The Metropolitan Area Planning Commission met in regular session on Thursday, September 11, 1975 in the Court Room at City Hall.
The meeting was called to order by the Vice Chairman, Ralph Morrison in the absence of the Chairman.
MEMBERS PRESENT: Morrison, Cooper, Wheeless, Ball, Gott, and Brown.
MEMBERS ABSENT: Scott, Smith, and McDaniel.
Item #1. Mr. Skip Macon requests preliminary approval of the Nicely Subdivision, First Addition, Jonesboro, Arkansas. General location of said subdivision is described as being south of West Matthews and immediately west o the Oakhill Terrace Subdivision. Property contains approximately 15.0 acres. A motion as made by Mr. Cooper and seconded by Mr. Wheeless to APPROVE the request subject to the dedication of a 41 foot right of way on Matthews Avenue by the property owner. (One half of 82 foot right of way). A vote was taken and the motion as passed unanimously.
Item #2. Guaranty of Jonesboro requests final approval of Scenic Hills Subdivision, First Addition, being a replat of a part of Kimbrell Subdivision, Section A and to include approximately 25.5 additional acres to the north of said Kimbrell Subdivision. General location of this property is described as being along the north side of Nettleton Avenue Extended and being north of the Briarwood Addition. A motion was made by Mr. Wheeless and seconded by Mr. Brown to APPROVE the request. A vote was taken and the motion as passed unanimously.
Item #3. John White request final approval of a replat of Lots 13 and 14, Block B, Spence Subdivision. General location of this property is described as being on the west side of Caraway Road south of Race Street. A motion was made by Mr. Ball and seconded by Mr. Wheeless to APPROVE the request. A vote was taken and the motion was passed unanimously.
