AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE #3043 AND SECTION 11.12.05 OF THE PLUMBING CODE OF THE JONESBORO CODE OF ORDINANCES, TO DELETE THE BONDING REQUIREMENTS FOR PLUMBERS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas employs licensed plumbing inspectors to inspect and enforce the plumbing and gas codes in effect and to ensure compliance with same for the protection and safety of the citizens of Jonesboro.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas that;
SECTION 1: That Section 11.12.05 is hereby deleted in its entirety.
SECTION 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances which are contrary to this ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict. It is further declared that if a phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, chapter, title, or section of this code shall be declared unconstitutional, such unconstitutionality shall not affect any of the remaining phrases clauses, sentences, paragraphs, chapters, titles and section of this code.
