BE IT ORDAINED By the City Council of Jonesboro, Arkansas:

 

SECTION 1: Ordinance No. 954 known as the zoning ordinance of the city of Jonesboro, Arkansas, be amended as recommended by the metropolitan area planning commission by the changes in zoning classification as follows:

 

From Agricultural AG-1 to Commercial C-3 the   following described property:

                                          

 LEGAL DESCRIPTION:

 

A part of the Northeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 25, Township 14 North, Range 4 East, more particularly described as follows: Commence at the point of intersection of the North Right of Way line of Jonesboro, Lake City and eastern Railroad (now abandoned) and the East line of the North east Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 25 aforesaid, thence North 105 feet; thence West 210 feet; thence South 105 feet; thence east 210 feet to the Point of Beginning proper, subject to Right of Way for Public Road along East side thereof.

 

SECTION 2: It is found and declared by the city council that the proper use of the tract(s) of land described above in this ordinance is being delayed because of improper zoning, and that therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance, being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.

 

PASSED AND ADOPTED the 5th day of April, 1999.
