RESOLUTION TO SET A PUBLIC HEARING TO ABANDON A DRAINAGE EASEMENT IN DAVID SMITH FOURTH ADDITION AS REQUESTED BY JIMMY DOYLE HUNT AND BERL SMITH

WHEREAS, the property owner has filed a Petition with the City Clerk of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas requesting that the unimproved portions of a ten foot drainage easement between Lots 4 and 5 of the David Smith 4th Addition to the City of Jonesboro be vacated and abandoned; AND
WHEREAS, the Petition has been presented to the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas; AND
WHEREAS, Arkansas Code Annotated 14-301-110 requires two weeks public notice before the above easement can be vacated and abandoned;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas that the City Clerk is directed to publish a notice once a week for two consecutive weeks advising the public of the request by the property owner to vacate and abandon the unimproved portion of the ten foot (10') drainage easement between Lots 4 and 5 of the David Smith 4th Addition to the City of Jonesboro and this matter will be heard before the City Council on April 21, 1997 at 5:30 p.m. o'clock in Municipal Court Chambers, Jonesboro, Arkansas.
