AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 11-8 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS; THE SAME DEALING WITH FEES TO BE CHARGED FOR PLUMBING INSPECTIONS

BE IT ENACTED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
Section 1: Section 11-8 of the Code of Ordinances shall be amended as follows:
The following fees shall be charges;
1. The fee for inspection of consumer piping shall be two dollars ($2.00) for one to four (4) outlets. Five (5) outlets and above shall be fifty five cents ($.55) per outlet.
2. Gas pressure inspection, three dollars ($3.00) each.
3. Gas water heaters, two dollars ($2.00) each.
4. Unit heaters, two dollars and fifty cents ($2.50) each.
5. Wall heaters, two dollars and fifty cents ($2.50) each.
6. Floor furnaces, two dollars and fifty cents ($2.50) each.
7. Gas appliances vented, forty thousand (40,000) BTU and above, two dollars and fifty cents $2.50) each.
8. Warm air furnaces, first one hundred thousand (100,000) BTU, five dollars ($5.00) each. Each addition one hundred thousand (100,000) BTU or fraction thereof, one dollar and fifty cents ($1.50).
9. Boilers: First one hundred thousand (100,000) BTU, five dollars ($5.00). Each additional one hundred thousand (100,000) BTU or fraction thereof, one dollar and fifty cents ($1.50).
10. (a) Permit issuance fee, residential three dollars ($3.00). Commercial, industrial and apartments over two units, five dollars ($5.00).
(b) The permit issuance fee will be assessed only once on each permit issued regardless of whether the permit is issued for all plumbing or all gas or a combination of both.
(c) Any and all fees shall be paid by the person to whom the permit is issued.
(d) An additional fee of two dollars ($2.00) shall be charged for each additional trip on the part of the plumbing inspector, caused by the negligence of those performing under a permit.
