AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 8.44 DOWNTOWN PARKING BY CHANGING TIME LIMITS IN SPECIFIC AREAS.

Body

WHEREAS, some business in the 700 block of South Main Street require more time for customers parking than is needed in retail areas and the church in that area requires more parking time for special events.

WHEREAS, the business owners and managers have petitioned the City Council of the City of Jonesboro to exempt them from time limit parking and then negotiated for four (4) hour parking time limits. 

THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro that the two (2) hour parking limits in the 700 block of South Main Street be changed to four (4) hour parking time limits.
