ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS, AMENDING TITLE 14 KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE AND CREATING AND ADOPTING THE PLANNED DEVELOPMENT (PD) DISTRICT REGULATIONS

WHEREAS, it is the desire for the City of Jonesboro to amend its Code of Ordinances specifically Title 14, known as the Zoning Ordinance to create provisions dealing with Planned Development District Regulations, Section 14.20.04, as recommended by the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission, and
WHEREAS, there is a need to adopt this ordinance by reference as a technical code, pursuant to ACA 14-55-207, and
WHEREAS, to provide public notice of the City's intent, advising the public that three (3) copies were on file and available for public review in the Office of the City Clerk, appropriate notice was published.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:
Section 1. Title 14 be amended and Section 14.20.04-Planned Development Districts (PD) is adopted and added to the Jonesboro Code of Ordinances as Chapter 14.20.04.
Section 2. Said provisions are specifically adopted as a technical code by reference as pursuant to the provisions of ACA 14-55-207.
Section 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of said conflict.
Section 4. Further, there being an immediate need to provide for the orderly development of the City of Jonesboro, an emergency is declared to exists and this ordinance, being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, shall take effect from and after its passage and approval.
