RESOLUTION TO SET A PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE ABANDONMENT OF A PORTION OF MAIN STREET LOCATED NORTH OF ROSE STREET IN SUGARLOAF KEY SECOND ADDITION AS REQUESTED BY C&O ENTERPRISES

WHEREAS, the abutting property owners have filed a petition with the City Clerk of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, requesting that the City abandon a portion of Main Street which is undeveloped and which is located North of Rose Street in Sugarloaf Key Second Addition to the City of Jonesboro; and
WHEREAS, the petition has been presented to the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas; and
WHEREAS, Arkansas law requires notice of such public hearing.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that the City Clerk is directed to publish a notice advising the public of such request to vacate and abandon the above mentioned undeveloped street and that this matter will be heard before the City Council on August 19, 2008, at 6:15 o'clock p.m., at the Huntington Building, Jonesboro, Arkansas.
