A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AN AGREEMENT OF UNDERSTANDING WITH THE JONESBORO YMCA

Body

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro owns and maintains Optimist Park located at 1504 W. Nettleton, and

WHEREAS, the YMCA owns the parking lot commonly used by Jonesboro citizens to access the park, and

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro is upgrading the playground equipment in the park and such changes require the City to improve ADA accessibility, and

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro Parks and Recreation Department is seeking to enter into an agreement of understanding with YMCA of Jonesboro to construct two ADA parking spaces in the YMCA parking lot for ADA accessibility to Optimist Park,

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:

Section 1: The City of Jonesboro shall enter into an agreement of understanding with the YMCA of Jonesboro to construct two ADA parking spaces in the YMCA parking lot for ADA accessibility to Optimist Park. 

Section 2: The Mayor, Harold Perrin and the City Clerk, Donna Jackson are hereby authorized to execute all documents necessary to effectuate this agreement.
