BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of Jonesboro, Arkansas:

SECTION 1: Ordinance No. 954 known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, be amended as recommended by the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission by the changes in zoning classification as follows:

From Residential (R-1) To Industrial (I-1) the following described property:

LEGAL DESCRIPTION:

A part of the Southwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter and A part of the Southwest Quarter of Section 29, Township 14 North, Range 5 East, Craighead County, Arkansas

MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED AS

Beginning of the Northeast Corner of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 29; thence South 0°35'06" West 1309.97 feet; thence South 89°13'49" West 1317.72 feet; thence South 89°31'24" West 997.0 feet to the center line of Little Bay Ditch; thence along said center line as follows: thence North 49°53'24" East 797.05 feet; thence North 43°35'14" East 304.56 feet; thence North 33°29'43" East 134.64 feet; thence North 23°22'32" East 216.67 feet; thence North 14°30'08" East 195.06 feet; thence North 43°20'06" East 121.42 feet to the North Line of said Southeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter; thence North 89°21'56" East 1216.00 feet along said North Line to the point of beginning proper, containing 49.74 acres more or less and being subject to all public and private roads and easements.

SECTION 2: It is found and declared by the city council that the proper use of the tract(s) of land described above in this Ordinance is being delayed because of improper zoning, and that therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance, being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
