AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND TITLE 14, OF THE JONESBORO MUNICIPAL CODE KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR A CHANGE IN ZONE DISTRICT BOUNDARIES

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:

 

SECTION 1: That Title 14 of the Jonesboro Municipal Code known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas be amended by the change in zone district boundaries as follows:

 

From C-4, Neighborhood Commercial District to C-3, General Commercial District that land described as follows:

 

LEGAL DESCRIPTION

 

A part of the Northeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 28, Township 14 North-Range 4 East, being more particularly described as follows:

 

Begin at the Northeast Corner of Section 28; Thence west on the section line 420.0’; thence S01º08’00” W Parallel with the east line of the Northeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of aforesaid Section 28,210.0’; Thence west parallel with the North line of aforesaid Northeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 28, 165.0’ to the Point of Beginning Proper; Thence continue west parallel with said North line 95.0’; Thence N01º08’00” E 167.9’ to the south right of way line of Arkansas State Highway 18; Thence S89º53’00” E on said right of way line 95.0’; Thence S01º08’00” W. to the Point of beginning proper, containing 0.37 acres, more or less, being subject to all rights of way and easements of record.

 

SECTION 2: It is found and declared by the City Council that proper use of the tract of land described in the Ordinance is delayed because of improper zoning and that, therefore, and emergency exists and this Ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, it shall take effect from and after its passage and approval.
